Gaming community already have a negative respond to this announcement.
As it became known yesterday, Electronic Arts since 18 January 2019 will be put into Battlefield V in-game currency called Bcoin. As for the exchange rate, for $5/€5 euros you get 500 coins, and the amount of 6,000 Bcoin will cost 50 euros or dollars. The main purpose of Bcoin will be buying character skins, weapons, vehicles and other content, at least in the first stage.
Gaming community already have a negative respond to this announcement. First, EA has badly stained his reputation with microtransactions and luchboxes for example Star Wars Battlefront II, and secondly, Battlefield V still lacks content (for example, the promised Battle Royale).
In addition, at the stage of announcement of Battlefield V we were criticised by players and journalists, due to the apparent not the historicity of the project. Rollicking action, brutal commando like a magazine cover, a woman with bionic arm prosthesis — had little relevance to the setting of the Second World war. And let EA and Dice to release partially corrected the situation, the initial opinion has already been formed.
A clear indicator of the reputation of EA is its stock price. If in July at the peak of one share gave almost $150, but the cost of one securities fell to $76, which is the lowest level for the year. The market capitalization of Electronic Arts when it dipped to $21 billion and now amounts to $23,13 billion.
